PickUp Go is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and ensuring the security of their personal data. This Privacy Policy describes what data is collected via the PickUp Go application, how it is used, stored, and protected. It also explains the rights users have regarding their data, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French laws.
Data Collected
We collect different categories of personal data in order to provide and improve the PickUp Go service. This data includes specifically:
Device Permissions
The PickUp Go application may request access to the following features of your device:
- Location: Used for route calculation, GPS navigation, and estimation of distances and travel times. You can disable this permission at any time in your device settings.
- Notifications: Used to send you ride reminders, booking confirmations, and flight tracking alerts. You can manage your notification preferences in the application settings.
- Internet Access: Necessary to synchronize your data with our servers and access the application's online features.
User and Company Information
Identification and contact data (first name, last name, email address, phone number), professional information (company name, address, business contact details), and account login information.
Ride History
Details of rides performed via the application (dates and times of trips, pick-up and drop-off addresses, distance traveled, duration and route history, as well as any other information related to rides).
Additional Drivers
Information on additional drivers that the user may register in the application (name, contact details, driving license, or other necessary identification information).
User's Clients
Information on clients recorded by the user in the application, for example, final client contact details (name, delivery or destination address, phone number, etc.) necessary for the proper conduct of rides.
Purposes of Data Collection
The collected data is used solely for the following purposes:
- Service Provision: Ensuring the proper functioning of the PickUp Go application and the provision of associated services (user account management, planning and tracking of rides, communication of ride information to relevant drivers and clients).
- Improvement of User Experience: Improving our services and user experience by analyzing the operation of the application and ride histories to optimize routes, propose new features, or improve the interface. Your data may also help us provide effective customer support and respond to your requests more quickly.
- Communications: Using your contact details to send you service-related notifications (e.g., confirmation of ride acceptance, application updates, or important information regarding your account). These communications concern only the operation of the application and do not contain unsolicited commercial prospecting.
All uses of your personal data are based on an appropriate legal basis, either because they are necessary for the performance of the contract (use of the PickUp Go application), or based on our legitimate interest in improving our services. When required by law, we may also seek your specific consent.
Data Storage Location
Your personal data is hosted on secure servers located in France and within the European Union (Host: Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany). We ensure that no transfer of your data to a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA) takes place without respecting appropriate guarantees compliant with regulations. Storage of your data in France and Europe guarantees that it benefits from the level of protection required by the GDPR and French legislation.
Third-Party Services
To provide certain features of the application, we use third-party services that may have access to some of your data. These providers are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations and may only use your data within the scope of the services they provide to us. These services include:
- Mapping Services (Google Maps / Mapbox): For route calculation, map display, and distance estimation. These services may collect location data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Flight Tracking Services: To provide real-time information on your clients' flights. Only flight numbers are transmitted to these services.
- Notification Services (Firebase Cloud Messaging): For sending push notifications to your device.
- Cloud Hosting Services (Google Cloud Platform / Hetzner): For certain infrastructure and features of the application.

Data Sharing with Third Parties
PickUp Go does not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes. All data you entrust to us is used exclusively for the needs of the PickUp Go service and by our authorized personnel or technical providers (hosting, maintenance) subject to a confidentiality obligation and acting according to our instructions.
None of your information is shared with commercial or advertising partners without your explicit consent. We may only be required to disclose certain data if the law requires us to do so (for example, upon request from a legal or judicial authority).
Data Retention Period
We retain your personal data for the entire duration of the user's use of our services. As long as your PickUp Go account remains active, the associated data is retained.
If you decide to delete your account or in case of prolonged inactivity followed by an account deletion, your data will be archived securely for an additional period of two years from the deletion. During this period, access to your data is restricted solely to purposes permitted by law (e.g., claims management or compliance with legal obligations). At the end of these two years, all of your personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
If certain information must be kept longer due to legal obligations (e.g., accounting documents), it will be subject to separate archiving in accordance with applicable law.
Account Deletion
You may delete your PickUp Go account at any time:
- From the Application: Go to Settings > My Account > Delete my account.
- By Email: Send your request to support@pickupgo.cloud.
Following your deletion request, your account will be deactivated immediately, and your data will be processed in accordance with the "Data Retention Period" section above.
Protection of Minors
The PickUp Go application is intended exclusively for transport professionals (VTC drivers, taxis, private chauffeurs) and is not designed to be used by persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data concerning minors. If we discover that personal data of a minor has been collected by mistake, we will delete it as soon as possible.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The PickUp Go mobile application does not use cookies. However, we may use local storage technologies on your device to improve application performance and remember your preferences (language, theme, etc.).
User Rights regarding Personal Data
In accordance with the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés), you have rights regarding the personal data we process about you. These rights can be exercised at any time by contacting us (see "Contact" section below) and providing proof of your identity. Your rights include specifically:
- Right of access: You have the right to obtain confirmation that personal data concerning you is processed by PickUp Go and to receive a copy of it, as well as information on the purposes of the processing, the categories of data concerned, and the recipients of this data.
- Right to rectification: You may request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data concerning you, so that we have up-to-date and accurate data.
- Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): You may request the deletion of your personal data, within the limits of our legal obligations.
- Right to portability: Upon request, we can provide you with the personal data you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
- Right to object: You have the right to object, for reasons relating to your particular situation, at any time, to the processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interest.
- Right to restriction of processing: In certain cases provided for by regulations, you may request the temporary suspension of the processing of your data.
- Withdrawal of consent: When the processing of your data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint: If you consider that your rights are not respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) - www.cnil.fr.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. These measures include specifically:
- Data Encryption: Exchanges between the PickUp Go application and our servers are secured by encryption protocols (TLS/SSL) to protect your information during transmission. Sensitive data stored in our databases is also encrypted at rest.
- Secure Authentication: User passwords are protected by a secure hashing algorithm (BCrypt) and are never stored in plain text.
- Access Control and Infrastructure Protection: We strictly limit access to your data to only those employees and collaborators who need it to operate the service, and who are subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Regular Backups: Your data is backed up daily to prevent any data loss.
- Security Tests and Updates: We regularly perform updates to our software and infrastructure to integrate the latest security patches.
